Common Questions
Before you ask.
A few things worth knowing before we begin. If you don’t find an answer here, feel free to reach out and ask.
- What does a website cost?
- Showcase sites start at $1,500, online stores at $3,000, and larger builds at $4,500. Every project is custom and quoted to scope after a short conversation, so you will always have a clear number before any work begins.
- What do I actually own?
- Everything. Your domain, code, content, and accounts are registered in your name and handed over with the keys. Because the site is hand-coded, you are never locked to a platform or a monthly rent, and you can take it to any developer if our paths ever part.
- How long does it take?
- Most projects take two to six weeks, depending on the scope of the project. I keep only a few projects in progress at once, so each one gets real attention.
- What happens after launch?
- You are covered by a thirty-day written warranty. From there, an optional Care Plan ($49 or $99 a month) keeps your site hosted, backed up, updated, and edited as needed. It is cancellable anytime, or you can simply take the keys and run it yourself.
- Can you rebuild or move my current site?
- Usually, yes. If you have outgrown Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress, I can rebuild your site custom and migrate your content and domain, so you keep what works and leave the limitations behind.
- Do we need to be local?
- Not at all. I work with businesses anywhere. Everything happens over email and scheduled calls, so where you are makes no difference. Wherever you run your business, I would be glad to build for it.
