Accessibility
Made to be read by everyone.
A website is only as good as it is usable. I build mine to be opened, read, and navigated by anyone, on any device.
The standard I aim for
Studio Colophon aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the widely used benchmark for web accessibility. Every site I build, including this one, is made to be usable by as many people as possible, however they choose to browse.
What that means here
The site is built from real, structured text rather than pictures of text. It can be navigated by keyboard, with a visible focus ring along the way. Colors are chosen for sufficient contrast, links and controls are labelled clearly, and the decorative flourishes are hidden from screen readers so they do not get in the way. If you prefer less motion, the site honors that setting and stills its animations.
An honest note
Accessibility is never finished. If something on this site gets in your way, I want to hear about it, and I will do my best to put it right.
Report a barrier
If you run into anything that makes this site hard to use, write to info@studiocolophon.com or call (704) 221–7939, and I will address it.
